Beginning Wednesday, November 1, 2023, U.S. employers may only use the 08/01/2023 edition of Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. USCIS announced a new Form I-9 in July 2023 which became available on August 1, 2023. Employers have had the choice of using the new edition dated 08/01/2023 or the prior edition dated 10/21/2019 through October 31, 2023. Effective November 1, 2023, use of the new edition dated 08/01/2023 is mandatory for all employers.
